Ron -
No, it's not HARD at all, IF you have a way to cut smooth 'donuts' out
of Plexiglas AND are willing to make silk screens and able to screen the
Plexiglas well enough to suit! A screen that would be fine for a
T-shirt probably wouldn't be 'clean' enough at the 18" viewing distance
to suit most Drake owners.
All for an essentially unknown volume of sales.
I haven't given up!

I would think someone could manufacture dials out of plexiglass and
proper labeling? If Drake could make them I am sure they could be
reverse engineered.

I've been trying to arrange for some dial replacements, but having
difficulties. Not certain yet if they will be available or not.
Will post when/if they are!
I've never checked, but I believe the dials are the same on both
units. The PTOs are identical, so no reason to think they would
be different.
The metal levers are just a convenience. The gearing can be
'disconnected' by reaching in with a small tool to disengage each
idler gear by pressing on it's shaft. The levers just make it a
lot easier, especially in the unit!

I have a R-4C tht is is need of a "kHz dial" (the one that
goes 0-90").
Any ideas?
Also, are the dials in a T-4XC the same and be substituted?
Also, will the dials work regardless if there is one or two
metal levers that are use to adjust the dials to the correct
frequency?
Thanks
Jim
