Any way you might put it, the doggone thing WORKS! Hi Hi.
I think it's well worth whatever minor inconvenience it might be to install the
fan.
Oh yes, one final note: I found that the fan was a tad too noisey & distracting
"as is", so I put a small voltage dropping resistor in the "+" lead from the
wall-wart, dropping the voltage to some 9-10 VDC at the fan---and the cooling
is still effective!
Why not give those precious 6JB6s every advantage for a long & prolific life
that you can...?!
