Al -

Those are 9 pin plugs, not the four pin plugs used in the SPR-4. These are like the accessory plugs on the rear deck of all the Drake receivers, etc.

The other NB all use a single 7 pin plug 'minature tube' plug, similar to the 9 Pin types in this ad.

I was just doing a search on Ebay of Drake gear and came across some of those plugs for the noise blankers for sale. He is selling two new with the covers for $24 shipped. He has 4 sets available. Here is a link to the items.

My SPR-4 has neither a noise blanker nor a jumper cable in it's place. From what I can see it looks like it never had either of them. Is it necessary?

If it is where do I get one? Can I just replace it with a length of plastic insulated unshielded wire? Does it have to be shielded? Is the lenght important?

TIA,

Geoff.
