I've used my Realistic DX-400 for this. A sniffer cable attached to the antenna
rerminals makes a good tool for snooping out oscillators. Zero-beat to WWV, it
also makes a reasonably accurate frequency meter. Nowdays I have an IFR, but
the DX-400 is still on standby.
