I don't have a T-4XC open at the moment, so can't measure. I agree that the 1 Hz variation is nonsensical, the crystal is probably spec'd to +/-50 ppm, or about +/- 300 Hz. It could conceivably be that they spec'd a 'little' low to be sure that the actual frequency can be set, but again 1 Hz isn't enough to matter.

Maybe someone knows for sure? The earlier transmitters were just spec'd as 5.645 MHz, so somebody thought it needed to be changed.! :-)
