I wouldn't expect anything else, that's a typical company line. Aside from the obvious warranty and service issues, to publicly show any support for any mods would imply that folks at the factory do not have complete confidence in the product quality. I wouldn't doubt that it would be covered under terms of employment, and could result in an employee losing his job. If I were caught saying such things, publicly or privately, about my company's product, I would fully expect to be called on the carpet by my bosses.
