I would not worry about SCTP, it appears to be a long ways off...

I was consider completely yanking out the selection array ("socket",
"tcp", "shmem", "pipe", ...) entirely and saying all is TCP.
But then, there are some next-gen TCPv6-liek protocols coming down
from the IETF, so maybe I want to leave that in, and set it to
("tcp", "sctp", ...) and leaving SCTP as a no op for now...
What do you all think?
