I haven't used splint yet, but I would like to. It is easy to get warnings for unused function return values with gcc by using the warn_unused_result function attribute. I opened a bug for this. There are a lot of error conditions that MySQL does not handle because too many return values are ignored -- most of the failures are from memory allocation. http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Function-Attributes.html http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=25058 > > Added as > http://drizzle.wikia.com/wiki/Tasks_that_need_help#Compiler_warnings_.2F_Static_analysis > -- > Andy Lester => [EMAIL PROTECTED] => www.petdance.com => AIM:petdance > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss > Post to : [email protected] > Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss > More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp > -- Mark Callaghan [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~drizzle-discuss More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
