If you have webspace that supports PHP/MySQL, my suggestion would be a Drupal
instance. It allows you to collaborate on so-called "Books", and supports
editing in Plain HTML. And it provides many additional "community features",
e.g. a blog aggregator, Forums and whathavenot.
