Yes (as you already know)

I think most visitors to the site will not be fully armed against the glaring ads, and it gives quite a cheap impression (but maybe that is not so important?).

I would whatever makes taking over the current content as easy as possible.

I cannot help with this so I understand if we agree it is too much work at this stage. That would be one good reason for keeping wikia.
