In my drizzle fantasy the invocations of the client and server are
nearly identical to the way they are in mysql.

That being said rtfm'ing to find out whether -p is port or password
isn't that big a deal or just using --port and --password.

Sounds like a future interview question: "What does -p do in mysql
versus drizzle?"
