Isn't INSERT IGNORE more or less an alias for INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY
UPDATE with an empty update list?

So including INSERT IGNORE or not is just about syntax really? Or is it about
the client getting a list of conflicting rows?

I definitely think the functionality should be there, whatever the syntax.
