Yep, this was solved by apt-get installing libdrizzle-dev
Cheers!

Hi again!
Hmm, this seems odd. I haven't touched the build system for Drizzle itself.
You're using Ubuntu right? I would suspect that libdrizzle's shared
library should be installed in /usr/local/lib/ by default... perhaps
something might have gone funky with configure. What I recommend doing
is specifying the libdrizzle location with "--with-libdrizzle-prefix="
and see what you get.
On my end, I'll merge the BlitzDB tree with the current Drizzle trunk
and try and pickup any changes to the build system since my last
merge...
Cheers,

Hi!
There's been several mentions of using Tokyo Cabinet as a storage
engine in the community and I think some of you are aware through
planetdrizzle that I'm slowly working towards one (BlitzDB).
Although I'm no where near announcing it to the broad public, I think
I should share some of the findings that I've gained so far.

I don't want to claim that my result is 100% reliable (reasons are
described in the post) but I think I'm on the right track. For those
that are interested in the performance tweaks that I've thrown in,
I'll post more about this soon.
Awesomeness. I'd like to contribute, if possible. Could you do a
couple things to make that easier:
1) Create a BlitzDB developer team on Launchpad and set that team as the
driver instead of your own username?
2) Edit the BlitzDB project settings and set it to "use Launchpad for
developement (code, blueprints, etc)"
3) Approve me as a member of the aforementioned BlitzDB developer team
when I click to apply for membership :)
The first thing I'm going to do is move the blitzdb test case out of the
main test suite and create a new test suite just for BlitzDB...
And I, for one, am working on backporting a decent version of
tokyocabinet debs into the drizzle-developers PPA.
Next error...now on linking in drizzled/
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libdrizzle.la' or unhandled
argument `/usr/lib/libdrizzle.la'
I have make clean'd after installing latest version of libdrizzle and
ldconfig'd.
Any advice?
