Hi!
I've been asking around to a few folks I know "hey! Why haven't you
signed up?"
The answer is "I am just going to show up, the wiki required me to
login".
So? My suggestions:
1) Ditch the requirement to sign up.
2) Put up a google form for people who would like to be counted for
lunch.
The login creates a gate, and I don't blame folks for not wanting to
deal with it.
