Hi all,
A first mobile theme seems to be working -at least on a basic DSpace 1.6 test
instance, you can access it at https://arthur.lib.muohio.edu/ ... if your
device isn't detected as mobile one, then you can try this URL too
https://arthur.lib.muohio.edu/mobile/
We're in the process of moving the mobile theme into a production instance.
Also, in the next couple of weeks, I plan to share some basic documentation
about the work, but for now, here is a quick summary of the major steps:
1. creating a copy of the 'xmlui' webapp and called it 'mobile' -this could be
a bit tricky depending on how you have set-up your webapps folder.
2. editing the mobile/theme.xsl file -adding proper HTML5 and jQueryMobile tags
and re-arranging DSpace elements
3. creating a theme using http://jquerymobile.com/themeroller/
4. creating a local CSS for final tweaks and hacks
5. testing it on devices and simulators -including iOS, Win Phone, Android, and
Opera Mini/Mobile
