Ivan Masár commented on DS-1017:
--------------------------------
I started looking at the messages file. The most important thing is that all
instances of "DSpace" have been replaced by "Scholarly Commons". Of course,
we'll use the original in the distributed version.
I wanted to see what changed, so I prepared a diff on GitHub for easy
commenting. You said it was made for 1.6, but the messages file seems to be
much closer to 1.5. Here's the diff:
https://github.com/helix84/DSpace/commit/b0d6fd14e5cdaf9143c7cd98b7ac9481c720b002
I already added some line comments.
1) I ignored the "Scholarly Commons" changes
2) I marked with a "+" lines that will be added to messages.xml in DSpace 3.0
3) I marked with a "*" lines that intentionally change a message (ie the
message is meant to be different in the mobile interface than in the regular
one)
I'm not sure at the moment how we could make the 3) messages override the
originals instead of replacing them. It's likely that these strins are used
elsewhere and are already translated in DRI, so adding new messages for them is
not the right solution.
