Ivan, Perhaps I'm not well versed enough in the Embargo Access page. Does it actually allow you to set access restrictions *without* setting an Embargo? I've mostly seen the "Simple" Access Page which looks more like it lets you turn embargo on/off or select whether something is fully private (Admins only). What I was hoping for was adding the ability to select a single group to limit access to from the Simple Access Page. So, maybe the question is twofold: 1) Is it currently possible to restrict access to a single Group *without* specifying an embargo? 2) Can we make this select a single group feature available from the Simple Access page? (or somehow simplify / rework the Advanced Access page so that it's more straightforward). Even I'm confused as to how to use the Access page... perhaps we need better docs or an improved layout.

DSpace should allow submitters (or maybe just Admin users who happen to be submitting content) to change the access rights of Items during the deposit process. This would be similar to the idea of the "Access" page (added as part of the 3.x Embargo feature), but would optionally allow someone to modify which Groups should have READ access on the Item (...
