Hello Karen, you do not need to perform each step while performing an update over several versions.
Just pay attention to all the changed prerequisites, configuration parameters, initial scripts (e.g. like the browse initializatin) and perform all the database upgrade steps between the version you are running and the version you are updating. For 1.6.2 you'll find the postgres upgrade scripts in: [dspace-source]/dspace/etc/postgres/ database_schema_13-14.sql database_schema_14-15.sql database_schema_15-16.sql Dependin on the postgres version your instance started on you might get this error while doing the 15to16 upgrade script: http://old.nabble.com/-Dspace-tech--running-the-15-to-16-script-td28296853.html (thread includes error and fix) Postgres is a dependency meanwhile and will be pulled automatically. So there is no need to copy the postgres jar anymore. Hope that helps Claudia Jürgen Am 25.06.2010 15:35, schrieb Savage, Karen R.: > We're currently running dspace 1.3.2 and would like to start the > process of upgrading to the current version.
