Hi Helix84, Yes, the new box will be in a different domain and have a new IP address. I know I'll need to follow update procedures with handle.net.
You answered my question about using the same handle prefix on the new machine. Thanks. Another beginner question. When I create the collections on the new server to reflect the collections on the old (source) server, before I do any importing, do they need to have the same... id number? For instance on the source box, there is a collection at (handle/collectionID) 4321/1023. Is it OK that on the new box that collection ID is 12, making its handle/collectID be 4321/12.
