Thanks Bram and Ivan Yeah, that's the code I'm using. I'm not too surprised if the JPEG work is only for images- I would say the PDF thumbnails work is quite an obscure requirement. Anyway, if this is not changing, I would be happy to tell the users that this is the best they can get for the moment; they may decide not to implement, but that's up to them!
