Hi,
DSpace 3 and above integrates xoai that uses solr indexing to display the
items. Are you using solr or Postgres/Oracle?
In the latter case, keep in mind that in the file {...}/config/modules/oai.cfg
the option "storage", at the very beginning, must be equal to "database" and
not "solr", which is the default value.
