If you have the possibility then take | outbound too. ah ja good idea true... | DSPAM is not going to be the reason for lost mail, since DSPAM does | not block but only filter/tag. we use the quarantine, some user get about 1k and more quarantined mails a DAY (belive it or not) (thank god for spamtraps on userwebsited on these accounts.. helps to get rid of almost all of them out of the box) so as you can see the mails ARE LOST.. lost in space.. i mean they are there but noone -really noone honestly searches their quarantines anymore its there only i case some user know what to look for and for legal issues (its a bit touchy here in austria delete users mail) so quarantine gets purged of 14 day old mails and even then some users have constant 60k mails in there (only last 14 days) | Do you clean that beast? You should! of course, purging every day by cron | How have you trained that merged group? With TEFT? TOE? What have you | trained? tone, a common set of spam ham. but ife to be carefully since my users are so different i cant do to much global And in each round I have dropped older data from two or | three | rounds before. That has helped me to amplify my tokens and purge the low | signal tokens and therefore keeping my dataset small and compact. ah i see good idea, no boosting is clear... i read a lot about the background of dspam... i jsut didnt read the constrians statement bevore ...(im still very very emberrased about that:-) maybe a reason for the big db is a lot of spamtraps feeding different user/usergroups individual i cant use the traps globally, for this the usersmail is way to different the size of the db isnt that big concern. everything runs fast and smooth anyway - i was just interrested to get some values to mine to compare and its way not the biggest db on my boxes...
