Anything done on the WebUI (so far) will work with 3.8.0 and 3.9.0. So you can still use your 3.8.0 WebUI on 3.9.0 without breaking anything. You just loose things added to the WebUI in 3.9.0 (translation of the WebUI in DE, FR, HE and RO and some small enhancements/fixes).
