FYI, remember that this project and the lists are maintained by
volunteers, we don't make any money for this in fact many of us give too
much time which hurts our normal jobs! - what i'm saying is, try and
be nice with us and don't expect anything.
Now to try and help, lets start with the basic's:
What OS/Arch are you running
Roughly what hardware
How long has this server been running
What MTA - postfix? qmail? sendmail?
Which Dspam version (do dspam --version and post the output to this list)
Which Backend storage driver do you use
Post your Dspam.conf (*** the passwords)
Which http server do you use
How much traffic is handled by this server user/domains
Can you describe how your setup is 'strung' together? ie is it a
gateway filter etc
Anything else running on the server
- How much can you do with linux - build a kernel?, install packages,
install from source? Can you find the log files and know how to use the
command 'tail'? Which *nix distributions are you most familiar with?
Are you able to backup/restore *SQL tables (ie MySQL, Postgres?)
Please answer as much as you can. Dspam is very flexible so we have to
ask these basic questions first.
I hope we can help.

Hi,
First of all I want to let everyone know I'm not simply asking for
free advice/help. I'm willing to pay to get this issue solved.
I have two servers with dspam running fine, but I've only now noticed
this behaviour (yes, it's the same problem that "Gary M" is reporting):
1. An email gets quarantined. Two options now:
a) It IS spam, so I delete it and it never gets to the user's
inbox.
b) It is NOT spam, so by cliking on the "deliver" button it
should retrain the system and deliver the email to the user's inbox.
Option 1a works fine.
Option 1b SEEMS to work (because I don't get any errors), BUT EMAILS
NEVER GET TO THE USER'S INBOX. In the end, I don't know where the
emails go but the end user never gets them! :-(
I've been working with Gary M for a few days now to get this solved,
but I NEED AN URGENT SOLUTION.
The dspam config wasn't done by me but by another person who is no
longer available. My Linux knowledge is not very high, so please do
ask whatever you need.
If someone offers (and we come to an economic agreement) I will
provide root access and then would like to know what the problem was.
Thanks to everyone.
