Japanese stations do not use Dplus currently so no Dongle functions will be recognized.
You must set the call sign of THEIR departure repeater in Japan behind a "/" in your radios "YOUR" field for them to hear you and converse. Then it all works fine. If working mobile you will find it helpful to program in advance in separate memory channels and then simply select the correct one. Also, I don't see anyone doing this while they are driving. Today wwe had an instance where JA7NJN was calling on AAA1HD and none of us could get back to him. Several users were in their cars and I was on my dongle at work. The worst part was that Yoh forgot to disconnect from us and started holing a local conversation in Japan. We could get him off our system. This is a HUGE problem.
