Just to add some more input to Adrians statement above, we replaced every cat5 cable, even ones connected to the router and being used for something else. We also made sure that the cables were as short as possible in particular the ones between the ID-RP2000v and the ID-RP2c unit. Over the next few months we will be carrying out more tidy up work at the sites, this includes improving the earth of the systems and general house keeping of the cables. On GB7DG Port C the difference has certainly been noticed by the system users. We have asked Icom UK to make sure that when they ship out kit that they don't send out the cat5a cables and move onto some decent STP ones instead. Hope you get it sorted out.
