You lost me on the trust server thing. That should have no bearing on my issues. Right now I am trying to get a "club" callsign so I can switch the repeater to a different callsign and use my KE5KAF callsign on the system instead. In the works...
As for all the other issues from the past posts. They have all been rectified. Like I had mentioned, I have implemented all new/upgraded stuff ie: duplexers, computers, antennas, coax etc.. I have a 12" fan blowing cool air up in to the repeater module which is next to the air conditioning vent. Thermostat is at 66 degree's next to the unit. Nice and cool The repeater is just below the controller, no spaces and yes its mounted in the rack. After I had made my post here in the forum I was contacted by Ray of ICOM (BTW: Thanks Ray). He has sent the email to ICOM as he is on vacation, so I will wait for a reply. I have had this repeater since April of 2006 and since I had the G1 Gateway I have always had an issue. It's NOT an Internet issue as everyone suspects. I have no problems with Internet just the repeater hooked up to the Internet! I was saving up to purchase a UHF module and I am waiting to hear back from ICOM to see what we can do. If I have to I will go out and purchase a 3.6 GHz Overkill Quad Core computer and set it up as the Gateway. If nothing works then I'll just shut it down and complain a lot! It's been since Nov 2006 (First version of G1) that I have had issues with my repeater. So it's been a little frustrating. Asking help in many forums and many people suggesting many things. I have done/tried them all. Jim KB6JST has helped plenty with superflex and such. Steve NU5D has helped out with Duplexers... it's been a crazy ride! OK - if you are using your VA6 callsign then ... maybe best to delete the user registration for KE5KAF so that only the repeater is known by the trust server and other gateways. I also did a little looking back in time ... and in June 2008 you were also posting in the thread "First few key-ups garbled on Dstar Repeater" Are you still having any heat problems? Do you have one rack unit of space between the repeater controller, band module and anything else? Gary K2ACY noted that he had a problem with an RP4000V module ... and swapping it out resolved his issue(s). In the event it is something in the controller or band module - have you recently emailed and/or spoken to ICOM support to see what their suggestion is? There seems to be a lot of systems that are being seeded out there from dealers -- maybe check a local ICOM dealer in your area and see if they have a module or controller they would be willing to lend you for further troubleshooting. Have you also given any thought to building up another gateway (different system, clean install) to see if that helps? Bob McCormick W1QA [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
