There is a solution!

But if you look at this like most of us anything past FREE is never
affordable.

Mark, KJ4VO at the HRO Atlanta store and I have been researching this. No
one has the proprietary connector, period. I have not been able to locate
the custom waterproof connector vendor that Icom uses either.

It turns out that the ONLY way we have found using any supplier to do this
is to order the microphone cable from the GPS microphone. It is perfect
for the application and provides nice leads to solder to on all of the audio
in/out pins as well as the programming pins. These cables are available
only from Icom either direct from parts or through Mark at the Atlanta HRO
(or your favorite Candy Store I guess).

Subject: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] IC-92AD Connector

Has anyone found an affordable substitute for the funny connector on
the IC-92AD (and presumably other models)? $50 for a speaker mic
adapter and $100 for a data cable is outrageous.

I've had no luck so far with my usual suppliers. If there's enough
demand, though, I could see about having a new mold made.

Does anyone know which models use this connector, and if ICOM is
continuing to use it for new models?
