Hi

This might in the past have been covered before, but it is Christmas
soon so pleas be tolerant if so :-)

On the Repaeter system in Central Copenhagen we are on module C
running a lot of GPS reporting for mobile stations interfacing to
APRS. All of those data packed are "data" only. So triggered by the
timer in the radio alone with out interference by human...

Now once in a wile when such a data packed are received at any one
that might listen on the repeater. There are actual voice coming out
other then the Roger beep. Like the Radio are decoding Audio. What
come out are indeed garble but never less no audio should be there as
we are talking data only. This seems to happen more when the station
sending GPS data are marginal on the repeater. We see this more from
a ham using a IC92 in his car, then from those using IC2820.

Now my guess are that "error" are due to a shift in data as the Voice
data are in every packed anyway. So the data packed that original
contained no voice, due to noise are altered so the receiving radio
believe that there are audio in the packed and start the decoding.

Any thought, are that fare out ?? the CRC might have an impact here

Thanks in advance
