That's too bad - I would have thought they would have designed it to not only receive both GPS and GPS-A data, but to receive both types regardless of the receiving radio's mode. > > This is incorrect. Are you sure about that? The "G.D" indicator (turned on and off with the [DATA] softkey) only controls what is sent to the serial port. Your radio should transmit position reports over the air regardless of whether it is turned on or off. I've verified that mine behaves that way.
