It's a built-in, and I don't believe there's any way for the local Gateway
admin to turn that feature on and off.

If D-Plus is installed (virtually all US systems and most others, but not in
Japan), it should do it.

Easy to test locally with a pair of rigs. or a friend on the phone on a
different module. just to make sure it works before you change your Net
format to utilize it.

Some people use it as a way to do a "local CQ" on all modules also. "WY0X
calling CQ on all modules of W0CDS, listening on Port Bravo." Then someone
listening say, on an ID-1 who doesn't have VHF/UHF, would be able to reply
via many methods. as one useful example.

Subject: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: Repeater question

Thanks to everyone who answered my question. It sounds like a small 2m beam
is my best bet to hit my local repeater and check into their Sunday night
net on port C. I do have a DV Dongle, but I prefer to come in via RF if at
all possible.

I presume that the "broadcast to all modules" feature of D-Plus is a mode
that the system admin has to set up. Is that correct?
