I have not seen anything that says that, in fact I suggest you go ahead, because you are registering your Call Sign - NOT your Dongle (or radio) - with the D-Star Gateway System. Depending on where you register, the process may take one or more days to complete. Just be sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY. 73 Hank - KI4UMX
