I think what you want to do is hit the Radio->Export to file
function.

I assume you've already cloned the radio, right?  When you do the
clone of a radio like the 800, it asks you for an image file name at
the same time it's asking for a model number and a serial port.  If
not, start there by going to Radio->Download From Radio.
