Those responses pretty much answered my question. Yes, I suppose that I should have phrased the question in terms of "working" distance, rather than distance itself. I think that I will be getting the D-Star hardware for my IC-2200h and see what happens. I spend a lot of time driving from south Florida to SE Tennessee (I make the trip about every two months) and have heard very little 2m activity while driving up I-75 through Fla. and Ga. I will check in to the links provided to see what other information I can garner from those. Thanks a lot and I am sure that I'll be posting more questions in the future.
