I am back home and playing with my 80. I believe it is the same as 880 in terms of callsign settings.
Here is my findings: - A gateway callsign at RPT2 is taken away when it is in the DR mode. - In the normal VFO/memory mode, it stays there. - Kerchunking with UR=CQCQCQ RPT1=JP1YJX RPT2=JP1YJX G returns RPT?. Getting rid of RPT2 results in UR?. So we should NOT specify G at RPT2 with UR=CQCQCQ here. So, if the DR mode is added to make D-Star operation easier, taking away G from RPT2 might be meaningful in Japan (where there is no dplus) to avoid such an errouneous situation. 73, -- JI1BQW - Kay Ishikawa
