Over here in the South West corner of England, I know we will be the  
last to see any sort of technology -- after all, we've only just had  
electricity. Hardly any APRS other than me; let alone anything more  
technical. So I too have done like Scott and put the cart before the  
horse (in Paul's terms) and have bought D-Star capable equipment  
knowing I can't do the digital bit yet. However, I think it's a good  
move -- my IC-2820 and IC-92 work fine on analogue FM until the rest  
of the area catches up. When someone else does go digital -- I'm  
already there!

I just love modern technology.
