Over here in the South West corner of England, I know we will be the last to see any sort of technology -- after all, we've only just had electricity. Hardly any APRS other than me; let alone anything more technical. So I too have done like Scott and put the cart before the horse (in Paul's terms) and have bought D-Star capable equipment knowing I can't do the digital bit yet. However, I think it's a good move -- my IC-2820 and IC-92 work fine on analogue FM until the rest of the area catches up. When someone else does go digital -- I'm already there!
I just love modern technology. -- Regards Andy, G8TQH http://www.rickham.net/ On 11 Jul 2009, at 17:27, Paul Filardi wrote: > I agree with your reasoning!
