Lets get this straight, once and for all; A Single band radio operates on one band, E.G. 2M or 70CM's.
Dual band means the radio has the capability to RTX on two bands. Single VFO is a basic 'normal' radio, it recieves, it transmits on one channel/frequency at a time. Dual VFO means that the radio can recieve two channels at once and transmit on one at a time. The IC-80 is a Dual band, Single VFO radio, same as the 800/880. The E-91/92 are Dual band, Dual VFO radios, as is the 2820. Simple! Neil.
