You better upload the output of strace somewhere. You can make strace to write to a file with: | strace -o $FILE kmail Having said that I realize that there is a high chance that the output will not be of much use at all, because I would expect it containing too much stuff to really point out what the matter is. The other option is you just pass by my office or we meet at some other place and we'll have a look at it together.
