Hi Charles
I had done VPN using OpenSwan , got help
http://wiki.openswan.org/ and the mailing list .
I did it using RHEL4 , there was no problem in the
installation.
Suggestions
Regarding stability , it is working fine . to make
sure you can make options to check the daemon using
nagios [ configured to send SMS , or email to u ]
Security
U can use CA or PSK keys I am using PSK keys
this url was much help to me
http://www.jacco2.dds.nl/networking/freeswan-l2tp.html
OS
I am using RHEL4 , OpenSwan does not come with RHEL ,
but installation was easy , I think novell is one of
the sponsors of the OpenSwan project , so naturally
SuSE distro may have the software , I am not sure
about it , may be Dan or Mo can help u , by giving
more info
Thanks
Joseph
