RHEL is already certified Oracle 10g, you can get a free evaluation copy of RHEL and you can install on it Oracle, just you should have a Redhat account: https://www.redhat.com/en_us/USA/rhel/details/eval/

Just curious but, what would I have to do to get OpenSolaris running
on my x86 PC ?
(Chris and any other OpenSolaris Gurus, please feel free to pitch in.)
From what I understand, I first have to get Solaris 10. Then I
download and install "Solaris Express - Community Release, SPARC/x86,
English". Finally I download OpenSolaris sources and compile it.
Right ? Or am I missing anything ?

PS: Would really appreciate OpenSolaris for Dummies! ;-) Or the the
next best thing, the links to those incredible documentation that you
mention.
