Hi all, Just wanted to let you know about a new Facebook app that I developed recently. SmsMyStatus(http://apps.facebook.com/sms-my-status) is a simple application that lets you update your Facebook status by sending a text message from your mobile phone.
I know there are a lot of apps that does the same job IF you have a smartphone with a data plan but I wanted something that worked without a data plan. The official Facebook Text Messages only works in a few countries with selected operators(only Du supported in the UAE). SmsMyStatus will work in all the countries, using any mobile networks. For the curious, I built the whole thing using Gammu: http://wammu.eu/gammu/. Before you ask the question - Yes the app and the service is free, you obviously have to pay your mobile operator for every SMS you send.
