You could achieve this with Twitter years ago.  Twitter will accept "tweets"
from your mobile via sms - It's an international SMS so your solution may be
cheaper if you're using a local destination number.

So with the Twitter solution what you once your sms's are becoming tweets is
link your Facebook status to your twitter tweets and you're
"social-networking" on two platforms, not just one, via SMS.

What would be great is a service where you can select one or two key
Facebook or Twitter contacts and have their status sms'ed to you phone -
This is something that Twitter already doesn't but isn't available on
Etisalat / Du.
