I bought a Toshiba 6.4GB hard drive for my Duo2300 (Model MK-6411MAT). I've
installed many SCSI drives into desktop Macs but no IDE or PowerBooks
installations.

Is there anything special to do when initializing/formatting the
IDE/PowerBook drive? Especially since this is not a Mac specific drive.

I saw an earlier post concerning the keyboard ribbons in the Duo which is
very helpful. Are there any other precautions?

I have a DuoDock with an internal drive that I can boot from and then
initialize/format the drive. Or I can put it in my MiniDockand boot from a
CD. What would be best?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
