Yes. I've done it (both ways, actually). In fact, the bottom cases that
I've seen all say 'Powerbook Duo 280/280c' which makes me think they only
made one. The screen casings are different, of course, since the color
screen is a bit bigger (the 280 only does 640x400).

It's physically larger but the resolution (640x480) is the same.
