With the note that evidently you need a new video cable if you go from a
250 to a 280 monitor.  According to specs, the 280 is 6 bit BW while the
250 is 4 bit BW (from what I recall....)
I wonder if the 230 and 250 have the same # of pins and I wonder if you
could make a 230 use a 250/280 monitor. The only difference would be active
matrix vs passive (and power drain, too).
