        I'd take the whole top off (by squeezing inside the top on both
sides, hopefully the door won't prevent you from doing this), and the duo
will slide in just fine with the top of the dock removed.  This gives you a
chance to see the workings of the mechanism, and to mechanically work the
eject mechanism on the left side if all else fails.
        You really need the powerbook owners manual, which describes all
this in detail including disassembly of the dock.
