I suggest you just leave the CD thing turned off until you get booted up.
Then use SCSI Probe (or some other SCSI info&find&mount utility) to try
mounting your CD drive.
It may be that your Apple CDROM driver does not work with the CDROM rig
you have. In that case, try something from a third party, like FWB.
