I just downloaded Office 98 (for Mac) Update from the Microsoft Web Site
last night. I was prompted to do so after seeing discussion here about
PowerPoint bug fixes. I am updating my Desktop unit, as this PPC-based
program will not work on my Duo 280c. Three times I tried to run the
updater, and three times it locked up on me half way through. I don't
usually do many updates unless I have the problem, but figured with my new
cable modem I could afford the time now. But in hind sight, I've never had
a failure free update from the Microsoft web site. Is it me, or have others
had this problem too? In the mean time my Office 98 original program
performs without a hitch.
