I have been using MS Office 98 since it came out on my
9600 (604e OS 8.1) and later on my 2400c G3. No
patches, no updates. It has been stable and
reliable--by and large--on both machines. IE 4.x is
sometimes troublesome. But somebody sent me a PPT
attachmment the other day and I tried opening it on
the 2400c and it crashed. Later I opened it on the
9600 successfully, although it seemed a bit hesitant.
It was from a windoze user. I didn't give it much
thought but I wonder if there is a problem with PPT. I
probably won't bother looking into it since I don't
use it much.
