hi,

it's my understanding that the pc card standard is 16bit, while cardbus is
32bit. the 2400c/180 isn't fully-compatible with the cardbus protocols,
though there has been some discussion on this at both mac2400
(http://www.sineware.com/mac2400) and ogrady.com (site seems to be
unavailable today...).

even though my 2400/180 has been through the mce cardbus activation, cardbus
support is still a little spotty. with my macally cardbus usb card, i still
have to make sure i eject it before restarting or shutting down. if i don't
the mac freezes at 'welcome to...' and i have to manually-eject and reboot.

also, it appears on the desktop with no icon from time to time, which never
feels very good.

it works, but it'd be nice to not have to jump through hoops (if there was a
16bit USB PC card card out there)...

anyone?
